Carlisle lies just inside the English/, and
near to the western end of Hadrian's Wall which was constructed by the Romans in AD122
to keep out the barbarians from the North. This is the main square on a
Saturday afternoon in October with a small group entertaining the crowd with
hits from the '60s.
