From the top of these high cliffs at West Bay in Dorset are stunning views of Lyme Bay,
the Jurassic Coastline, and across the Marshwood Vale towards Chard and Ilminster.
The harbour is at the mouth of the River Brit which leads down to the sea from nearby Bridport.
To the right of the parked cars is the old railway station and a few carriages, all that remains of a branch line to Bridport which was opened in 1884 to link with the main Dorchester to London railway but was eventually closed in the 1930s. Where was this picture taken? Click for a Google Map |
